PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION
VALVE, SOLENOID
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department
of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers two types of 24-volt (V), solenoid actuated,
hydraulic directional control valves with an operating pressure of 3000 pounds per square inch
(psi) (20 685 kilopascals (kPa)) (see 6.1).
1.2 Classification. Valves should be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2):
Type I
- Two position, four-way, rated flow capacity: 6 gallons per
minute (gal/min) (0.38 liters per second (L/s)).
Type II
- Two position, two-way, rated flow capacity: 3.5 gal/min
(0.22 L/s).
